METHODS OF THE ASSESSMENT OF SOCIALLY DETERMINED RISKS OF ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION

The algorithm and methods of quantitative estimation of socially determined risk of alcohol consumption are discussed in the paper. The three main stages of risk assessment (hazard identification, factor-effect analysis and risks’ characterization) are presented. The main macro-social factors that affect the alcohol consumption are pointed out. It is proved that the consumption of champagne and cognac is highly depend on the socio-economic factors, much more than the consumption of vodka or beer. The suggested methods are tested on the Russians regions (data of 2011). All regions are divided into 4 types by the level of additional consumption of vodka and other alcoholic beverages. The social factors mostly influence on the consumption of alcohol in 3 regions - the Republic of Dagestan, Republic of Tyva and Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In the Republic of Dagestan socially determined risk of consumption of vodka and other alcoholic beverages qualified is an invalid.
