PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORTS IN PUBLIC OPINION OF RUSSIANS (THE REVIEW OF THE LEADING RUSSIAN SOCIOLOGICAL CENTERS RESEARCHES)

The readiness of the population to go in for physical culture and sports and availability of exercises and sports for citizens of various age is analyzed in the article on the basis of sociological polls data received by the leading Russian sociological centers. Positive tendencies in situations with physical culture and sport are noted which are expressed, on one hand, in the increase of interest to it from the population, and on another hand, in improvement of the corresponding conditions, first of all, in the form of sporting venues of step availability. At the same time, it is emphasized that, despite it, only the insignificant part of the population characterizes by regular exercises and sports that is explained by some kind of development of physical health culture as an element of health-saving culture. Also, on the basis of sociological data, the authors are forming the social portrait of people who are in a risk zone such as elderly people, villages’ inhabitants, with an average and are lower education level and material prosperity.
