MODERN CONDITIONS OF STUDENTS PROFESSIONAL SKILLS FORMATION ON THE EXAMPLE OF TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE

Monitoring the conditions of formation of students’ professional skills in high school is one of the most effective mechanisms for feedback from students that provides a real opportunity to adapt the educational process to their individual needs. To achieve this goal, the Department of Sociology of Saint-Petersburg State Institute of Technology conducted the case study by distributing questionnaires. There were selected first and fourth year-students, as the main study objective is a “pain points” autopsy of students’ adaptation who were pupils yesterday. That’s an extremely important and urgent topic for other universities during the work process with the first-year adaptation programs. Fourth year-students, in turn, became a part of the selection for the comparative analysis of adaptation from the perspective of its impact. The study authors have proved the effectiveness of the system of training and education in the Institute of Technology, since, according to the data, it allowed the absolute majority of 1st year students to adjust to college life by the end of the first semester.
