The relevance of this article provides importance of youth public organizations as elements of regional social system. In the article author paid attention to the review of youth public organizations as social institute and its special features. To analyze the nature and specific features of the regional youth public organizations the method of secondary sociological information analysis was applied. Due to the results of the research author managed to reveal trends which describe regional character of youth public organizations. Moreover, the accuracy of survey data determined social portrait of regional youth public organizations due conditions of transitive society. Necessity of positive impact on young people through social institute of public organizations was defined. Socio-legal status of public youth organizations was analyzed and basic problems of public youth organizations functioning on regional sphere were defined.
