APPLICATION OF SOCIOLOGICAL MONITORING IN ASSESSING THE SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES OF UNIVERSITIES

The article substantiates the application of sociological monitoring in assessing the scientific and research activities of the universities. The diagnostics opinion of the facultyhave been conductingin a scientific paper, which is fundamental in the monitoring, confirmed by the data of a sociological study conducted by the authors in 2012 - 2013. Sociological monitoring enables to diagnose the organization and practice of research activities not only according to formal criteria, but also taking into account the criteria of the subjects of the research activities. Analysis of understanding and motivation, diagnostics of the organization’s quality assessment of conditions and opportunities for self-realization-these are the factors which give opportunity not only to assess, but also to predict the further development of science in the University. A qualitative evaluation of the research activities of the universities factors is possible only when using sociological instruments included in the monitoring system.
